Meet Our Team

Bill Moss received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Campbell University in 1976 and has more than 40 years of experience in accounting and auditing. He is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in both Virginia and North Carolina and also holds the Certified Management Accountant designation.

Bill is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and serves as a qualified reviewer in the AICPA Peer Review Program, which monitors and evaluates the quality of accounting and auditing practices among member CPA firms. His professional experience spans all aspects of accounting, auditing, and tax research and planning, including representation of taxpayers before the IRS.

His primary areas of concentration include income tax planning and strategy for closely held businesses and their owners. Bill has also advised clients in multiple successful merger and acquisition transactions.

In addition to the AICPA, Bill is a member of the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants, the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants, and the Institute of Management Accountants.

Amy Butala holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from the University of Washington and a Master of Business Administration from Loyola University Maryland. Prior to entering public accounting, she gained experience as a corporate internal auditor, as well as an accountant and auditor for several government entities.

Amy is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in both Virginia and North Carolina. She also holds multiple advanced professional designations, including Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), and Certified Government Auditing Professional (CGAP).

In addition, Amy is a Certified QuickBooks User and a Certified ProAdvisor for several editions of QuickBooks, allowing her to provide practical guidance on accounting systems and financial reporting.

She is an active member of numerous professional organizations, including the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants (VSCPA), the Institute of Internal Auditors, and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. Amy also has experience serving as a treasurer and board member for multiple local nonprofit organizations.

Abby Foster received her degree in Accountancy from Old Dominion University. Prior to entering public accounting, she gained extensive experience as a corporate controller in the maritime transportation industry.

Abby is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Virginia.

Katie received her Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Old Dominion University. Prior to entering public accounting, she had extensive experience as a corporate controller in the heavy construction industry.

Sabrina works in the payroll and bookkeeping department. Prior to entering public accounting, she worked as 1040 tax return preparer for a national tax preparation service for more than 20 years. Sabrina is an Enrolled Agent licensed in Virginia.
